Setting Group Expectations

Group Member Names: Beth Secor, Greg Armstrong

  1. When are group members available to work together? What hours can each group member work individually? Are there any personal time commitments that need to be discussed?

Beth: Likes to finish with work by 8pm, no all-nighters.

Greg: No hard commitments, probably a light day of work (if any) on Sunday.

  1. How will group members communicate? How often will communication happen, and how will open lines of communication be maintained?

Group: Private slack channel channel. Otherwise DMs. Often, with open communcation.

  1. Which feature(s) does each group member want to work on? Which feature(s) does each group member not want to work on?

Group: We both want to work on the entirety of the project. Possibility of small individual branches but mostly working together.

  1. What does each group member hope to get out of the project?

Beth: Wants to understand JavaScript.

Greg: Wants a functional game, get more comfortable with JavaScript (both object-oriented & functional.)

  1. What is the agreed upon Git workflow? Who will review pull requests, and when? What project management tool will be used?

Group: Project Management = Waffle.io, each member will review the other's pull requests daily. No pushes to master. Small, frequent commits.

  1. What is expected of group members when they run into problems implementing a feature?

Group: We'll both ask for help after attempting the problem.

  1. How does each group member want feedback (both positive and constructive) to be delivered?

Group: DMs post-project with specific, actionable and kind feedback.

  1. Is there anything else the group should know about personal work/communication styles?

Beth: Sometimes is quiet about frustrations.

Greg: Prefer harder work in the beginning to get ahead, or otherwise avoid a strenous last few days of the project. Totally open about communication.
