Hello all, I thought it would be a good idea to explain how to properly get on IRC using the best possible tools and how to set up things like NickServ accounts. All this information is targeted for the irc.tulpa.info servers, but with some research can be applied to almost any IRC network out there.

• Speak in English.

  • We cannot understand languages other than English very well. Please use English so it is easier to understand. Poor English is better than no English!

• Be civil.

  • If you get into an argument, make sure to try to stay as reasonable as you can. Don't make it a contest of who is morally correct. Getting really angry at others and harassing them can lead to a ban or quiet, depending on what the moderation and administration considers appropriate.
