Ember library

The Ember library will assume that Ember has already ben loaded (higher in the loading order) and thus will assume it has access to the Ember API.

What forces layout/reflow. The comprehensive list.

What forces layout / reflow

All of the below properties or methods, when requested/called in JavaScript, will trigger the browser to synchronously calculate the style and layout*. This is also called reflow or layout thrashing, and is common performance bottleneck.

Generally, all APIs that synchronously provide layout metrics will trigger forced reflow / layout. Read on for additional cases and details.

How to debug an ember application with VS Code

Step 1: Launch Google Chrome with Remote Debugging support

  • windows: <path to chrome>/chrome.exe --remote-debugging-port=9222
  • macOS: /Applications/Google\ Chrome.app/Contents/MacOS/Google\ Chrome --remote-debugging-port=9222
  • linux: google-chrome --remote-debugging-port=9222

Step 2: Install "Debugger for Chrome" extension
