In the following you find the privacy policy for the processing operations performed on personal data when applying and joining the gaming community Hand of Unity (HoU) pursuant to Article 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
a) The controller is Hand of Unity (HoU), represented by the Guild Leadership. You can contact us by email: contact@handofunity.eu
b) For personal data processed when using the HoU Discord channel or when engaging with other HoU members, for example in a game, the household exemption of Article 2 (2)(c) of the GDPR applies. This means the GDPR does not apply for such processing of personal data, as it is purely in the course of a personal activity. For example, when you talk with another HoU member when playing a game, the GDPR does not apply for such conversations between HoU members, as long as it is purely in the course of gaming.
Nonetheless, we advise you not to disclose personal information, such as your full name or your postal address. Furthermore, please keep in mind that the management of HoU would never ask you for personal data such as your credit or bank details. If you receive such a request from a member of HoU, please contact HoU management immediately.
c) For personal data processed when applying and joining the gaming community HoU, the GDPR applies. As controller, HoU may process the following data:
- (first) name,
- age, place of residence,
- information regarding your gaming activities.
d) The legal basis for the data processing is our legitimate interest pursuant to Article 6 (1)(f) of the GDPR. Our legitimate interest is to ensure the operation of the gaming community.
e) We store your data until you leave the gaming community. In individual cases, a longer storage period may apply, for example in the event of legal disputes.
f) We do not share your personal data with third parties.
g) We do not perform automated decision-makings pursuant to Article 22 of the GDPR.
h) In line with the GDPR, as data subject you have the following rights:
- Right to access (Article 15 of the GDPR);
- Right to rectification (Article 16 of the GDPR);
- Right to erasure (Article 17 of the GDPR);
- Right to restriction of processing (Article 18 of the GDPR);
- Right to object (Article 21 of the GDPR).
Finally, you have the right to to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority pursuant to Article 77 of the GDPR.
