Project Reflection
For me, I am most empathetic with the people that I love the most. With my partner, being empathetic has taught me the importance of asking questions and truly just listening deeply. I can now read and understand her emotions much better. Being empathetic with her helps me to understand when she needs help, which I am more than happy to do. With my family, I'm probably most empathetic with my mom. She has gone through some tough times and I tend to always put myself in her shoes. That empathy for her has pushed me to reach for my goal of becoming a software developer so that I can have a financially comfortable life and be able to help her as much as I can. My empathy for the ones I love has strengthed my empathy for all others as well. I'm a lot quicker to lend a hand, to listen, and to understand others.

Based on my PAIRIN strengths report, my highest strength category is professional. Within this category, of the strengths provided, I resonate most with initiative. I think initiative truly is one of my greatest strengths. I know this because throughout my life, I have demonstrated great initiative in both small and large ways. I tend to get things done because I want to see the end results. When I was 13, I taught myself how to solder electronics because there were a few projects I wanted to fix. I also taught myself how to play guitar at 13 because I wanted to be able to play along to my favorite songs. At 18, I taught myself how to play piano.
