Technical Documentation: Music World App

Music World App

Introduction

Music World is a music social and marketplace platform designed for music producers, artists, and music lovers. The platform aims to create opportunities for singers and producers to monetize their music content, videos, songs, and beats while offering music lovers a place to enjoy and earn from the social economy through Pi blockchain. This technical documentation provides an overview of the Music World app, including its features and functionality.

Account Opening

The Music World app allows users to create three types of accounts, including music producer, music artist, and music lover. During the account setup process, users will be prompted to select their account category and can then upload beats, songs, or music videos. Monetized beats are only available for purchase once, and the system removes them from the producer's list automatically. Users can upload only one profile picture, and each content uploaded on the app can be priced with any amount of Pi the user chooses.

Features

One of the unique features of the Music World app is the ability to set the display duration for uploaded content. Users can choose to set a desired time or allow the content to play all by default. Additionally, the app offers a playlist section where users can subscribe to songs for a monthly subscription of 1 Pi. Once a song is added to the playlist section, the display cut duration becomes irrelevant. Users can also purchase songs to download and play offline with other music players.

Free Contents

Uploaded contents without a set price tag are free and will display with a "free" tag icon. The platform offers a song similarity detection feature to prevent bad actors from selling other people's content. If the system detects a duplicate song uploaded by another user, the app will shadow ban the song from the public and notify the admin dashboard.

Security

Each content uploaded on the Music World app will have a report button that allows users to report any infringement. Users can report if the song belongs to them or someone they know, and leave a message explaining more about the report. Additionally, users must input their email addresses to contact the reporter for settlement. Admins can take down a reported song if found guilty and ban the user from further uploads indefinitely.

Search

Users can search for songs via countries, genres, and artist names on the app.

Comments

Each content has a comment, like, and add to playlist buttons. The platform doesn't offer a dislike button, and each user has a private inbox on their profile.

Verification

The Music World app offers a verified blue octagonal badge for certified content creators. This is called Know Your Customers (KYC).

Commission

The Music World platform earns 0.5% commission of all Pi transactions on the platform, including the playlist monthly subscription. This commission is for server and platform maintenance.

Conclusion

The Music World app offers a unique platform for music producers, artists, and lovers to monetize their music content while enjoying a social platform. With features such as the playlist section and the ability to purchase songs for offline play, the app aims to level the playing field in the music industry. The platform's security measures, such as song similarity detection and content reporting, ensure that users can enjoy the app safely.
