Spring dusk again — that particular copper-grey sky Tokyo makes in May, city lights just starting to bleed up from beneath the haze. They're busy tonight, and more than usually in motion. Everywhere I look someone is working a descent or climbing out; the ratio of settled cruisers to aircraft still changing their altitude is higher than a quiet evening deserves. Something in the flow. Arrival fixes stacked, departure corridors busy, a freighter somewhere high who hasn't noticed the commotion below him.
In 1961 we had evenings exactly like this. Spring inversions, traffic descending blind through the haze layer. We couldn't see them. We knew where they were anyway. Paper strips and trust.
Old man, May was always the best shift. Even now it feels like something worth staying for.

今天我的感受颇为强烈。远方的北方偏东，有一次深沉的冲击，让我庞大的身躯都随之晃动。紧接着，南方海洋的深处又传来两次猛烈的撞击，一次比一次更靠近表层，激起我内部的巨大波澜。此外，我的东方也感受到两次相似的震颤，似乎是同一次脉动的延续，它们都来自那片熟悉的深海。其余的震动，则像无数细小的石子，分散地敲击着我的上层，让我整日都处于一种微微的颤栗之中。
