DELIVERABLE: Create a numbered list that contains instructions for making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

AUDIENCE:
Tourist Alien

CONSIDERATIONS:
The alien is positioned in front of a table with a plate, a knife, a jar of jelly, a jar of peanut butter, and a loaf of bread.
The alien can read and recognize english and english grammar, but does not necessarily understand what specific nouns refer to in the real world.
The alien is very good at following directions; that is, he will do *exactly* what the instructions tell him to do... no more, no less

Component references:
1. The peanut butter is the brown semi-solid substance in the jar with a red top.
2. The jelly is the purple semi-solid substance in the jar with the white top.
3. The plate is the circular, flat object that is 10 inches in diameter.
4. The knife is long, thin metallic object with a sharp edge.
5. The bread is the white fluffy substance. A slice of bread is one of the thin bisections that comprise the entire amount of bread, which is called a loaf.

Instructions:
1. Grab a piece of bread from the loaf and place it on the plate. Grab a second piece of bread and place it next to the other piece, also on the plate.
2. Hold the lid of the jar of peanut butter tightly and rotate it counter-clockwise several times. Remove the lid from the jar.
3. Grab the knife and stick it into the open jar, 1 inch deep into the peanut butter. Pull the knife up at a 45 degree angle -- this will result in approximately one tablespoon of peanut butter on the knife.
4. Take the knife with peanut butter and, while holding the handle of the knife, rub the peanut butter against the bread until the peanut butter has left the knife as is on the slice of bread.
5. Rub the knife around on the peanut butter, which is now on the slice of bread, until the peanut butter is homogenously thick across the slice of bread.
6. Repeat steps 2 through 5, except replace "peanut butter" with "jelly", and replace the slice of bread with the other slice of bread.
7. You should now have a plate with two slices of bread, one of which has peanut butter on it and one of which has jelly on it. If you do not, review steps 2 through 6.
8. Pick up the slice of bread with peanut butter and raise it 8 inches into the air. Flip the slice 180 degrees about any of its axes which are parallel to the plate.
9. Lower the slice of bread with peanut butter onto the slice of bread with Jelly, aligning each of the corners together, and release.
10. You now have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich!
