## Getting To and From the Airport
It's a joke that Denver International Airport is in Kansas. It’s not a particularly funny joke, but the airport is surprisingly far outside of Denver. You can definitely do an Uber or Lyft, however that won’t save you from sitting in traffic on I-70 for a ridiculous amount of time if it's rush hour or there is some kind of accident.
Denver opened up a brand new train to the airport two years ago that takes you directly from the Airport to Union Station in downtown Denver. Because it’s a train it’s never stuck in traffic. Plus, Union Station is very pretty and has ice cream and oysters and stuff—so you’ll get a fun tourist thing out of the way too.
Our recommendation is to just hop on the train and then take an Uber or Lyft from Union Station. Typically, itt’s a much more civilized way to get to and from the airport—despite having an extra step.
## Extra meetups
One our speakers, [Myles Borins](https://twitter.com/MylesBorins), will be speaking at the [NodeJS meetup](https://www.meetup.com/Node-js-Denver-Boulder/events/nprrhpyxjbcc/) the Wednesday before the conference! If you want a sneak preview of how awesome he is, be sure to sign up!
## Conference Day, June 21st
The conference day will be held at The Studio Loft (908 14th Street, Denver, CO 80202). You can take an Uber or Lyft. Since it's downtown, be sure to leave a bit early to handle traffic! There is parking at the DCPA, however, unfortunately we will not be covering that cost.
Day One follows a traditional conference format. You can view the schedule [here](https://dinosaurjs.org/schedule) to see who is speaking.
There will be a full breakfast starting at around 8:00am, so show up hungry! Registration will also begin at that time.
_If_ you indicated any dietary restrictions please let an organizer know! We have accomodated for meals for you and want to be sure you are taken care of.
### After Party
The after party will be at Wynkoop Brewery (1634 18th St, Denver, CO 80202). There will be alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages served along with food. It's also across from Union Station, which you should totally stop by—if you didn't on your way in. It's about a 15 minute walk through downtown, find a walking buddy and make your way there! Here are some [walking directions](https://www.google.com/maps/dir/The+Studio+Loft+at+Ellie+Caulkins+Opera+House,+1400+Curtis+Street,+Denver,+CO+80202/Wynkoop+Brewing+Company,+18th+Street,+Denver,+CO/@39.7491573,-105.0007011,16z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m14!4m13!1m5!1m1!1s0x876c78d02dc9c8d1:0xf275633bd65cf848!2m2!1d-104.9967231!2d39.7447252!1m5!1m1!1s0x876c791f8440a705:0x1d69a421a1e51fd6!2m2!1d-104.9984882!2d39.7534005!3e2) if you fancy.
## Workshop Day, June 22nd
We do have a limited amount of seats at each workshop, so please be sure to sign up for only the workshops you are attending (not two at the same time). However, since space is limited, we are giving you a first second and third option. We will do our very best to accomodate everyone!
We will have breakfast and lunch provided on the workshop day, but feel free to bring snacks as you wish.
### Happy Hour
We'll likely go out to happy hour after the workshops so that the workshop instructors get to have some fun too. At the time of this writing, we'll be going to Oskar Blues (1624 Market Street, Denver, CO 80202). We'll cover your food and drink.
## Getting Around Denver
You can walk around a fair amount downtown, uptown and some neighborhoods. However, there is Lyft, Uber, Car2Go, public transit and some weird green scooters just showed up a few weeks ago as well. Everyone is pretty friendly, so just ask a question if you're new to town, we'd love to help!
