As a buyer of one of my items from Envato Market you are perfectly entitled to request support for your purchased products. However, when sending your support request please always keep the following points in mind!
Envato staff looks over every item and checks for quality and compatibility before it is allowed to be sold on Envato Market. For authors, granting free support is not mandatory and every author can choose on his own to what extend he provides support.
I choose to opt-in into providing support for my items because I think that my items have a high quality code base and my customers deserve to be able to use them as advertised. Since this is additional time authors are investing which they don’t get payed for please understand that it may take up to three business days for you to receive a response.
- Responding to questions or problems regarding the item and its features
- Fixing bugs and reported issues
- Providing updates to ensure compatibility with new software versions
- Customization and installation services.
- Support for third party software and plug-ins.
- Fixing bugs and incompatibilities caused by a third-party plugin or software.
