Playing NFS Pro Street in 2024 / Windows 11 / RTX 4080

1. Download base game from any availble torrent or mirror online (rather the US version)
   1. Preferred source:
      • www.myabandonware.com - 4th version: US version (Multi-language)
   2. Extract it
   3. Run the installer "EASetup.exe", and choose a folder away from Windows install folder, prefer inside an SSD for faster load times
   4. [OPTIONAL] ⚠️ DO ONLY IF YOU WANT INFINITE MONEY OR NPC CARS) Start the game once as admin mode and create your profile with your alias until the save is done
      1. If a Windows Defender popup shows that blocks the process writing to Documents folder, click on it, click allow on device and start again the game and creation of profile
      2. Once profile created, you can go and max your resolution and graphics settings
      3. Until you do, the game will be sluggish since VSync is not on, so be patient, change resolution first, the vsync, then the rest
      4. Now quit the game
2. Download NFS PS Generic Fix
   1. Download "NFSProStreet.GenericFix.zip"
   2. Extract it, copy its contents and paste inside the chosen installation folder
3. Download Essentials Update, extract it
   1. Open "STEP 1" folder
      1. Click on the "DLC Patch.exe"
      2. It should start installing the update in the correct location
      3. You can check if it installed correctly by going into the CARS folder and checking that CCX and 240sx are in there, like this:
         1. IF IT SHOWS A WARNING, CLICK OKAY, THE UPDATE WON'T BE INSTALLED IN THE CORRECT LOCATIONS
         2. You need to take each folder, copy its contents, and paste them inside the corresponding folder at the game root location
      4. Then open "CRACK" folder
         1. Copy the "nfs.exe" and "battery.nfo" and paste them inside the game root folder
   2. Open "STEP 2" folder
      1. Double click "NFS Patch.exe"
      2. Browse for "nfs.exe" in the folder where you put the game
      3. Check "Make codes permanent"
      4. Click on "Patch exe file"
      5. Exit after is done
   3. Career Patch (OPTIONAL)
      1. ⚠️ DO THIS ONLY IF YOU WANT TO BUY NPC CARS AND HAVE INFINITE MONEY, IT CAN INTRODUCE GAME BREAKING BUGS, RANDOM ISSUES AND INSTABILITY
      2. Open Career Hack > double click on NFSPScareer.exe > Browse
      3. Go to your documents folder > NFS ProStreet/CAREER_01/CAREER_01 > Open
      4. Click on Patch career file
      5. It should say its done, now exit the program
4. ⚠️ Before opening the game, you need to limit the FPS so that it isn't sluggish
   1. Open Nvidia Control Panel or AMD adenaline or any other program that manages your graphics card and FOR THE SPECIFIC GAME turn on VSync or Limit FPS to minimum 60 fps and max your screen rate FPS.

5. TO USE LATEST XBOX CONTROLLERS ON PC: Download NFS-XtendedInput
   1. Download the Release-ProStreet-Pack.zip
   2. Open the ZIP and extract contents inside game installation folder
6. RUN THE GAME
   1. ⚠️ If a Windows Defender (or antivirus) popup shows that blocks the process writing to Documents folder, YOUR GAMES MAY NOT BE SAVED CORRECTLY
      1. Click on the pop-up, and be sure to allow nfs.exe to write on your PC
      2. For Windows Defender, click allow on device
      3. Close the game and start it again
      4. Once your profile is created, be sure that you're data is saved under Documentsd/NFS ProStreet to allow the correct creation of your career file and save progression

Clean uninstall

1. Before reinstalling the game, be sure to do a clean uninstall:
   1. Add or remove programs
   2. Find "Need for speed: ProStreet"
   3. Uninstall
   4. Delete the folder "NFS ProStreet" inside the documents folder where the save and career are

Common Bugs & Crashes

• Crash when editing a blueprint and trying to add vinyls to a car
• Sometimes game will block when trying to press continue on some Drag Races even when having installed the Generic Fix
