Zerigo DNS Change of Plan Notice

Dear Zerigo DNS Supporter,

We are pleased to announce that the porting of all Zerigo DNS infrastructure to the Akamai platform will be complete by January 31st, 2014. As we have mentioned before, this move is part of a planned and systematic upgrading of our Zerigo DNS infrastructure. Zerigo’s DNS offering will now be backed by the full range of capabilities afforded by one of the largest and most advanced DNS name server networks in the world. All client-facing interfaces will remain exactly as before. You will be able to capitalize on the easy-to-use interface and API you already know, which will now be backed by Akamai’s cutting-edge infrastructure.

Our determination is to mold Zerigo into a world-class DNS service, and to deliver the ultimate standard of reliability, performance, and customer experience. We expect integration with Akamai to eliminate past problems with reliability, DDoS attacks, and downtime. Concurrent with the move to Akamai, Zerigo will be releasing a brand new portfolio of DNS plans with enhanced feature sets and updated pricing. As part of this upgrade, we will be matching the old DNS plans customers are currently enrolled in to the closest equivalent new plan.

We have identified you as a customer with between 11 and 25 domains currently supported. Your account will be mapped to accordingly, on January 31st, 2014, to the following plan:

Virtual DNS 25
•       25 domains
•       500 host records
•       20,000,000 queries
•       Automatic access to advanced features

We will be selling this plan to new customers for $38 a month. To show our appreciation for your support as a current user of Zerigo DNS, we have created a special loyalty plan, which you will be automatically rewarded with, should you continue to choose Zerigo as your DNS provider:

Virtual DNS 25 Loyalty

This plan is identical to the standard Virtual DNS 25 plan, but you will be enrolled at the  significantly discounted rate of $25 per month.

We apologize for the price increases some of you may face, though we expect the vast majority of our current users to recognize immediate and compelling benefits associated with the new platform. Largely, price increases are due to a new domain-based cost structure resulting from our agreement with Akamai.
