# Ketch Guide for writing Articles and postings

• Always use an editor such as Atom or Sublime
• Documents must be in markdown, you can find the guide for Markdown here https://guides.github.com/features/mastering-markdown/
• Do not use MS Word as it is not compatible with web content
• Use Hemingway to write the text content and aim for a Grade 9 reading level - http://www.hemingwayapp.com/
• Use the Headline checker to create an impactful headline - https://coschedule.com/headline-analyzer

Key Content Guidance - use the format shown BELOW

Overall process

1. Install a markdown editor - Atom or Sublime
2. Review the markdown syntax shown in the article Collaborative
3. Pick the subject for your article and check with Chris York on alignment to Ketch's marketing needs
4. Write the article using Markdown (if you need an infographic be sure to callout the location in your article)
5. If you need infographics then sketch them out by hand and submit to Chris for creation
6. Infographics gets added to articles
7. Web team will publish the article.
