###Future GoPro HERO3 Plus Black 3D BacPac / 3D Functionality

Found in the HERO3+ Black firmware v2.0:

  • 3D Bacpac FW Upgrade: File Size is less than expected
  • 3D Bacpac FW Upgrade: File Name Pointer is NULL 3D BACPAC UPGRADE FAIL
  • 3D Bacpac FW Upgrade: bootloader found
  • And my favorites:
  • 3D Camera has detected USB connection at startup so going ahead with that.
  • 3D camera_switch_to_3d_mode: AV was connected to Camera before going into 3D.
  • Camera has successfully switched onto 3D mode.
  • 3D camera_switch_to_standalone_mode: AV is connected to either Camera or Bacpac.

So the point here is that GoPro will release a BacPac to convert two, or maybe only one gopro into a 3d camera.

The GoPro 3D HERO System was two HERO2 / HERO1 cameras connected together via a Hero Bus sync cable.

The 3D bacpac should be a bacpac that connects both GoPro HERO3+Black via USB, WiFi or Hero Bus sync cable.
