Usage

Create a new tmux session:

$ tmux new -s SESSION_NAME
# Or just tmux

List tmux sessions:

$ tmux ls
tmuxtest: 2 windows (created Wed Feb 27 09:58:39 2019)

Attach a tmux session:

$ tmux a -t SESSION_NAME
# Or "tmux a" if there is only one session

Shortcuts

Prefix: CTRL+b CTRL+a shortcut is disabled to allow switching fast to the beggining of a command.

  • CTRL + s : backup current tmux windows to allow a restore (plugin). Also automatic every 15 minutes.
  • CTRL + r : restore the last saved tmux state
  • d : detach
  • ² : open a new window with htop
  • H : open a new window with htop running with root privileges
  • D : open a new window with docker stats command
  • m : mouse mode, allow you to click on windows and resize panes (enabled by default)
  • ENTER : Copy-mode / scroll-mode.
  • e : edit the local config and reload tmux
  • r : reload tmux
  • I : install plugins listed in tmux config
  • U : update and list plugins from tmux config
