Software Engineer for Growing Development Team in an Exciting Portland Startup

JOB DESCRIPTION

ImpactFlow is looking for an experienced backend web application developer with years of experience building scalable web applications. Working knowledge of both high-level object oriented and low-level procedural programming concepts. You will work with a small cross-functional group of engineers to develop features for our SaaS web application/platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Build features on the platform
  • Write tests for everything you build
  • Collaborate with product stakeholders to shepherd products through development
  • Participate and contribute in code reviews and design discussions
  • Lead efforts to build and deploy cool things

REQUIREMENTS

About you:

  • Solid CS fundamentals with professional enterprise-level experience
  • Familiaritiy with modern web stacks
  • Comfort with complex data structures and schemas
  • Familiarity with routine DevOps tasks and processes
  • Proficiency using Git/Github
  • High attention to detail, a passion for learning and collaboration, and a desire to continuously improve

Bonus points for experience with:

  • Working in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment
  • Multiple programming languages, environments, and tools
  • Popular back-end frameworks like Symfony, Django, or Rails
  • Popular front-end frameworks like Backbone, Ember, Angular, React, or jQuery
  • Test-Driven Development
  • Automation of any sort
  • REST APIs
  • Node.js
