Windows Setup

This contains various software and tools I use for customizing Windows.

Warning: Installing a bad Windows theme can render your system unusable (dwm.exe crash-loop – "black screen of death") due to resource map changes.

• Always match your winver.exe build to the theme you're installing.
• Before major build updates, always change back to a default windows theme.
• If you fuck up one day, access the drive somehow and rename C:/Windows/Resources/Themes/YourTheme and reboot.

Initial Setup

  • Must have customization tool.
• MacType
  • Windows font rendering has gotten better over the years, but I still various MacType profiles look/feel better. I use Service mode.

  • Work in progress. Used with AutoHotkey

• After Dark CC v2
  • All of Cleo's themes are awesome. Just make sure it matches your Windows build number.
