A pattern for building personal knowledge bases using LLMs. Extended with lessons from building agentmemory 20K+ Stars ⭐️, a persistent memory engine for AI coding agents.

This builds on Andrej Karpathy's original LLM Wiki idea file. Everything in the original still applies. This document adds what we learned running the pattern in production: what breaks at scale, what's missing, and what separates a wiki that stays useful from one that rots.

What the original gets right

The core insight is correct: stop re-deriving, start compiling. RAG retrieves and forgets. A wiki accumulates and compounds. The three-layer architecture (raw sources, wiki, schema) works. The operations (ingest, query, lint) cover the basics. If you haven't read the original, start there.

A pattern for building personal knowledge bases using LLMs.

This is an idea file, it is designed to be copy pasted to your own LLM Agent (e.g. OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, OpenCode / Pi, or etc.). Its goal is to communicate the high level idea, but your agent will build out the specifics in collaboration with you.

The core idea

Most people's experience with LLMs and documents looks like RAG: you upload a collection of files, the LLM retrieves relevant chunks at query time, and generates an answer. This works, but the LLM is rediscovering knowledge from scratch on every question. There's no accumulation. Ask a subtle question that requires synthesizing five documents, and the LLM has to find and piece together the relevant fragments every time. Nothing is built up. NotebookLM, ChatGPT file uploads, and most RAG systems work this way.

Generalized versions of all root .md files used by OpenClaw. These files are loaded into the agent's system prompt on every request (except MEMORY.md which is conditional).

Since version 2.23, git-blame has a feature to ignore certain commits. This feature is useful to ignore large formatting or apparently unimportant changes.

How to use

1. Create a revisions list file. The file name is usually .git-blame-ignore-revs
2. Set the file as a default ignore file for blame by git config blame.ignoreRevsFile .git-blame-ignore-revs

Genshin Impact multi account in PC is bit annoying because you need to logout then login back. There are 2 ways to switch between account instantly and both requires the game not running.

What is possible?

Slash commands offer a way to integrate your bot commands directly into the Discord UI. However, these commands are still very limited and cannot replace every use-case for now. I'll explain the limitations and possibilities of this new feature a bit here.

Slash Commands work entirely through the Webhook API. Which introduces a number of moderation issues. See the Moderation section below. It also causes some Rate Limit Problems.

Things you can do with slash commands

• Simple Q/A type commands that just take an input and return an answer
• Simple commands that have side-effects such as kick/ban/music

All packages, except for Tini have been added to termux-root. To install them, simply pkg install root-repo && pkg install docker. This will install the whole docker suite, left only Tini to be compiled manually.
