The best way to become a better developer is knowing how to overcome challenges on your own, it will push you to learn and also push you to become more autonomous. There will come a time when maybe no one else knows the answer & you will need to use your skills of troubleshooting, debugging, and trying different things.
It is always okay to ask for help but you don't want to become too independent to the point where you're not learning how to figure out problems on your own.
