Prior to coming to Ada, I was Assistant Counsel to the Speaker for the Illinois House of Representatives. While in this role I worked directly with state representatives, lobbyists, and government authorities to draft laws for the state of Illinois and argue them on the House floor.
Specifically, I dealt with subjects related to Consumer Protection, Business and Occupational Licences, Business Incentives for Local Communities and International Commerce. This role required a lot of effective communication with hundreds of people and the ability to think on my feet to come up with agreeable solutions for all parties involved.
