300g cooked bacon, diced
1kg ground beef (10% fat)
500mL chopped onion
2 medium-sized cans of baked beans
1 medium-sized can of kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 medium-sized can of butter beans, rinsed and drained
1 medium-sized can of lima beans, rinsed and drained
250mL packed brown sugar
250mL ketchup
30mL cider vinegar
15mL dry mustard
10mL salt
Ground black pepper to taste

1. Cook bacon until crisp, drain, and dice.
2. Cook beef and onions, drain, and break apart.
3. Combine sugar, ketchup, vinegar, mustard and salt in a small bowl, beating well.
4. Spoon beef, onions, bacon and sauce mixture into a large greased baking dish.
5. Bake uncovered at 160 degrees Celsius or until the mixture has achieved the desired consistency.
