This is the story: 1- On 27 June the official app has been launched. 2- After 2 days hackers stole the code and create a reverse engineering version of it ([private]). 3- As the code was already in Github, and we think forever, we WRONGLY decided to share some technicals detail about the app: [private] 4 -The repo, together with the technical explanation, it also contained the basic algorithm. Sharing our code has been misunderstood. We shared our code exclusively to show some technical details and methods, in favor of the scientific community working in AI. We immediately realized that the code was used to create illecit copies of the app (example: https://github.com/deep-man-yy/easydeepnude) and also Telegram Bots. So we quickly closed the repo. But was too late... too many forks.
We are sorry for our unstable and naive behavior. We are not Github experts, and we are going through a confused and difficult time. DeepNude is not opensource. Since our code is used to create copies of our propietary app, we would like our code publication to go back, as if it had not happened.
We know that in same way the code will remain in the network anyway, but we don't want our own repo to remain on GitHub!
What files should be taken down? Please provide URLs for each file, or if the entire repository, the repository’s URL: We want to shutdown all the forks of our original repo. This is now the repo owning the project. Inherited after we closed ours.
Have you searched for any forks of the allegedly infringing files or repositories? Each fork is a distinct repository and must be identified separately if you believe it is infringing and wish to have it taken down.
The app go viral. There are many forks of /deepnude_official. At the moment there are 271 forks. We want shut down all of it.
What would be the best solution for the alleged infringement? Are there specific changes the other person can make other than removal? Can the repository be made private? Yes they can be private.
