On June 9, in a battle near Izyum, the leader of our community, the head of the NGO “Protect Protasiv Yar” and a scout of the 93rd brigade “Cold Ravine”, Roman Ratushny, died.
Roman was the best of us, courageos, who was always the first in any fight and never showed fear. It so happened that in his last battle he was in reconnaissance patrol as part of a combat group and died during a combat mission.
“The more Russians we kill now, the fewer Russians our children will have to kill” - this thesis Roman asked to remember and spread, not long before June 9.
On July 5, Roman was supposed to turn 25... He was a patriot his entire life: a participant in the Revolution of Dignity at the age of 15, a well-known and admired public activist, headed an NGO, confronted oligarchs and crooks, and had a YouTube channel.
From the first day of the full-scale Russian invasion, Roman took part in the battles near Kyiv, and then, as part of the 93rd Brigade "Cold Ravine", helped to de-occupy Trostyanets, fought in the Sumy region and near Izyum.
We formed as an organization thanks to him. Despite this heavy loss, we will continue his work, to change and develop our society, our country, we will continue to fight for the Great Cathedral Ukraine.
We will definitely build a park in the Protasiv Yar. A park where we will plant an oak in honor of Roma. The park will bear the name of Roman Ratushny.
Roma is with us! He'll stay forever in our ranks!
