The information below in now out-dated. If your address change is within the same country, you can use the "Contact Information" page to update your address.
I wanted to update my address on the schwab.com web app, but I couldn't find proper instructions anywhere. So I called them, and here's what they said (I had to do):
- Log into to the schwab.com web app.
- Click on "Messages". Click on "Take me to Message Center".
- Click "Upload document". (We won't be uploading a document. We're just sending a message.)
- Under the "Subject" drop-down, choose "Account Inquiry".
- Don't attach any files.
- In the "Message" textbox, tell them you want to update your address and provide your new address:
Hi there,
I would like to update my address.
Here's my new address:
Street Address: ...
City: ...
State/Province: ...
Country: ...
