Because it does not do what it is supposed to. It is supposed to quickly transit between low-power and full-power state while supporting waking on voice signal, waking on proximity sensor, waking on connecting AC power, blah blah. But a laptop is not a smartphone so you do not really wnat it to wake up when you touch your table or when you snore while in sleep. And a surprise - your laptop never sleeps. Or more precisely: Ryzen 5000 Cezanne never sleeps. So do all modern processor generations because Microsoft forced them to so far as I know.
You may also experience your laptop being hot inside your bag which is now really a danger. Its fans may be still running although you just have put it to sleep - because you haven't. You have put it to standby.
