Linking channels, users, and roles

The quick way (if you only need to do it once or twice)

  • Use the /new command and type the # character in the content option.
  • Select the channel you want to link
  • Type the rest of the message and send the command

The effective way

  • Configure your discord client in dev mode (link)
  • Right click on channel/thread
  • Select Copy channel id
  • Edit Message From Staff
  • Paste the id between <> and save your changes

Ok, what now? If you edit the message again, you'll see a long string of numbers between <>. You can move this around, but don't edit it and make sure it all stays together

Special channels You can also link to special pages, such as id:home (<id:home>) and id:customize (<id:customize>)
