Trying to connect a Brother HL-2325DW printer to macOS via micro USB connection, but the printer was not being detected.
Root Cause

Charging-only micro USB to USB adapter - Many micro USB adapters are designed only for power/charging and do not support data transfer.
Symptoms


lpinfo -v only showed network protocols, no USB devices
