a brief draft of my testimony

What do you trust for your salvation

I trust in Jesus Christ work on the cross finished for my salvation. He did all that is necessary for me to pay my sin debt and inherit his righteousness. He died for my sins, and he rose from the grave for my justification.

How did you come to understand mid-Acts Pauline right division ?

I used to be a Baptist for approximately 16 years. One day I decided to get serious about the gospel so others could also be saved. I started by going to the train station and sharing the gospel with complete strangers who were willing to listen As I started sharing (copying what I heard from the pulpit for many years), I found my self to be contrary in my instructions such as "Your saved by grace and not of works" then I would tell them that they need to "say this prayer and mean it from their heart" and "you need to be willing to turn from your sin" .. I started spending time studying on my own and trying to make sense of this

In my studies, I eventually stumbled on a series via youtube.com called "Salvation made clear" As I listened, alot of the material was "old hat", but as I started hearing new information, I found those things to be true from the bible and I studied it out more for myself what i recall were the teaching that Paul and Peter differed in their gospel and "what is this thing that was kept secret since the world began"

How has knowing Jesus Christ according to the revelation of the mystery affected your life ?

There are many ways, but I will list the 2 most significant at this moment.

  • I have complete assurance in my salvation and can rest (now) that I know I can never lose my salvation
  • I have a significantly greater understanding of scripture that at surface level seem to have contridicions (especially aroud the topic of losing your salvation) . The Bible makes sense to me now because I understand why Pauls epistles are so much different than the rest of the scripture

How has God's word helped you through any struggles/difficulties

I take comfort in knowing that God speaks of me as though its already done, I am complete in Christ. ROMANS 4:17, COLOSSIANS 2:10

My residence is with God in heaven.

The troubles of this life arent worthy to be compared to the glory that will be revealed in us To be clear, understanding Gods word "rightly divided" has helped me so much in the following way: The peace I have in understanding that my salvation in Jesus finished work has given me a sense of comfort no matter what I go through in life.. This is different than before, because I could not make sense of Hebrews or MMLJ where it was evident that someone could "broken off"

How is the Lord working in your life now ?

( In what area are you continuing to grow? How? What is your part in ministry for the Lord? )

I feel like Im still in bootcamp where Im learning some fundamentals of Salvation, Pauls ministry, and the Bible rightly divided. I intend to share the gospel with people being equipped with an good understanding of Gods word. In the meantime,

I feel the importance of studying Gods word diligently and reckoning these things to be true. I also desire to further the outreach of this church to other people who are seeking truth from Gods word.

My part at the moment is training with the resources I have available to me now (this church gathering) and helping in anyway I can so we can be more effective in sharing the Gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ according the revelation of the mystery.
