osu!lazer guide to import files (iOS)

osu!lazer import guide on iOS (no iTunes!)

Introduction

Hello, as you can see I want to share on how file importing can be done as some people wonder about custom beatmap or custom skins. In here, I'll share the guide step-by-step as long as you follow the prerequisite, sure things can be done properly.

Prerequisites

  • File sharing app. Recommended Dropbox for this guide.
  • Active osu!lazer testflight period (or actual osu! mobile build that is based from lazer). I'm not kidding.

File Preparation (File Sharing Side)

It's clear. You need the files to be there, right? Now upload it to your favorite file sharing.

Here's a snapshot of my beatmap and skin folder. Don't judge it please.

As you can see, that those files are needed to be downloaded to your iOS by the following file sharing app you had on the phone.

File Preparation (iOS Side)

After you've uploaded the required beatmaps and skins that you want to import, now try to open your file sharing/manager app. On Dropbox, it should be shown the recent upload so you can easily access those quickly for importing.

Now, select the file and make sure you open the popup. On Dropbox, use Export to download the file then forward it to somewhere else. This also can be used to trick up ||SPOILER|| file uploads in Discord. After you select the Export, select Open As... so the file will be downloaded first and prepare the application forwarding prompt afterwards.

As you finished on exporting the file, you'll be prompted again. It's slightly different option than previous one, you had to find Copy to osu! like shown in the image. To note that you can pin the Copy to osu! action into favorites, as you clicked on See more... command on the end of the application action list.

After doing that, you'll be redirected to osu! application and the file importing sequence will begin. Repeat this section for every file you wanted to import, either it's a skin or a beatmap.

osu!lazor

As you finish all the import-repeat sequence earlier, it's time to see what's happening in your osu! copy.

Both maimaster-finale skin and Masayoshi Minoshima CYCLES UTAGE beatmap are custom import as they are not available in bancho. Well skins aren't.

Basically, voile! You've done it! Are you ready to be a rhythm champion?

Closing

I thought osu!lazor section is the closing.
