Who are we?

We are a Guadalajara-based fintech startup, all co-founders being Exatecs. We are building a marketplace for financial products. We just closed a seed round, have clients and want to build a great engineering team.

Why should I work with you instead of all those fancy companies where I can have my morning espresso, ping pong table and a beautiful Andares sunset every day?

What I can offer is that you will be exposed to the whole software engineering process from the start, and you will be playing around with the whole technology stack (frontend, backend, DB, infra) with all the relevant technologies you would want to have experience if you want to have a career on the web side of things (we don't use Java EE or .Net). And you shouldn't be taking much espresso at your age anyway. Also we are going to pay you in the same range as most of them.

You are going to be exposed to:

  • Javascript/Typescript
  • React (Redux and Hooks)
  • Node
  • Typeorm
  • SQL databases
  • AWS Services
  • Docker
  • A CI/CD pipeline in CircleCI
  • Unit testing
  • Technical specification writing

What do I need to know?

You are good to go if:

  • You are comfortable writing a lot of Javascript, know the language (you know the difference between an [] and a {}, know what a closure is [does not matter if you are Googling this right now, I want you to understand it on your first day], etc.).
  • You already had your databases class and know what a JOIN is.
  • You don't fear the terminal.
  • You care about technology and want to become a great engineer.

We are looking for both part-time and full-time positions. If you are interested, send me an email with your CV at roberto@creditus.mx.

Thanks for reading!
