Highlighting my wins in 2021

January 2021

  • I got accepted into Microsoft learn Student Ambassador program & that was the best thing ever happened to me at the very start of this year. Doodles 🎉
  • Being the first Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador on my campus I made sure to spread the word about this amazing community in my college by organizing events and hence created an inclusive Whatsapp group for 100+ people to discuss and share any doubts or anything which can benefit them greatly in their career related to tech.

February 2021

  • Started building my personal brand on Twitter with 650+ audience with a motive to learn in public, network & interact with the MLSA Community around the globe and with fellow gold ambassadors - Link
  • Got accepted as a Mentee at GirlScript Summer of Code and contributed to Manthan, HotelonTouch, and Neo-Algo Docs, among the 20 repositories.

April 2021

  • Joined Women Who Code Mumbai team and volunteered at Connect Reimagine, where I had the opportunity to meet leading women and developers from all around the world and digitally supervise the sessions by addressing any questions that attendees had.
  • Organized a Beginner's Guide to Microsoft Lobe & Introduction to AI event that included a hands-on experience with Lobe and how image classification works, and a Kahoot quiz that sparked the interest of 147 students. - Link

May 2021

  • Interned as a Content Writer at Scholarship Track which is an initiative dedicated to raising awareness about numerous technical scholarships around the world and connecting them with previous recipients. Wrote blogs and interview articles and one blog amongst them was how to build your online community & presence in the virtual world - Link
  • Volunteered at Microsoft Build 2021 and got a chance to interact with the live audience and ask my doubts there - Link

June 2021

  • Selected for SUSE Scholarship by Udacity - Link

July 2021

  • Started my first web developer internship & worked on a project called Resume Maker at DIY. I assisted the team as a frontend developer on their resume builder project in this internship, which they will be soon launching as a product under DIY. Resume Maker is a web application with features such as authentication, dynamic display of the resume template, an ATS parser that will give a score for their resume, and recommendations on how to enhance it. - Link

August 2021

  • Got selected as a fellow for the Script Fellowship Program under Script Foundation in which I contributed to the development part resulting in building the organizer's dashboard for community events and hackathons alongside other contributors - Link
  • Came in the top 50 teams at Zeta Hacks 3.0 amongst the 6000+ participants and qualified for the API Integration Phase - Link
  • Attended women in tech monthly meetings and was able to connect with many amazing women in the community - link

September 2021

  • Volunteered at Women Who Code Connect India Conference, it also had Microsoft PM for their one session - Link
  • Accepted as a student volunteer at ACM RecSys 2021 conference and got a chance to attend my first ever research conferences of Facebook, BookMyShow & many companies around the world. But I primarily attended the conference of these two and volunteered there - Link

October 2021

  • Got a chance to share my open-source journey on ' The Open-Source Chat Show' hosted by Women Who Code Frontend during Hacktoberfest alongside past Outreachy and MLH fellow interns and mentors. Yay moment ✨ - Link
  • I was a first-time mentor for the HacktoberFest 2021 for the Community Website repo at Mentro and also contributed to Moja-Global as a participant - Link
  • I also got a chance to mentor at Azure bootcamp amonst the 4 bootcamps conducted for the Imagine Cup 2022 - Link

November 2021

  • Currently working on a blog release for the Microsoft certified AZ-900 exam with fellow Beta Ambassadors like Vidushi Gupta, Winnie Mandela, Shruti & others.
  • Currently the Addon Dev Lead (Community Track) for Microsoft Edge x MLSA community which is currently managed by Rohit Yadav & Arpita Das and mentored by Principal Manager at Microsoft - Link

December 2021

  • Selected as a Mentor for Script Winter Of Code 2.0 - Link
  • Selected as a Mentee for Winter of Code organized by GDSC IIIT Kalyani in association with Google Developer Leads which is a warmup for the upcoming Google Summer of Code.
