Breakdown of all of the known logging bots. (If I missed any let me know and I'll add it)
  • You can still selfhost the bot (view selfhosting-guide in the support server)

Selfhosted Loggers:

WARNING: It's unlikely any public instances of Logger will be added here, Discord failed to verify and grant intents needed to another public selfhosted instance and the user had to shutdown their instance.

INFO The only selfhosted Loggers listed here will be from trusted members of the Logger support server. If you're selfhosting and a trusted member and want your selfhosted Logger to be listed then we'll reach out to you directly, don't ask to be listed here.

Includes: Image logging, 14d message caching.
Doesn't include: Dashboard

Selfhosted Haste-server:

Note: This list is ordered from "Features similar to Logger" (Top bots on the list is more like Logger than the ones lower on the list)

  • Similar to Logger, every event is covered (setup process is via / commands)
  • Pros: customizable embed colors, /archive command similar to Logger's, message delete (includes: images/attachments, poll info, who deleted the message), invite logging for member join, user profile updates (username, avatar, display name), threads can be used as log channels
  • Con: Channel permission updates isn't logged.

Note: The server needs 10 total members in order for the bot to stay in the server. Otherwise it will automatically leave it.

Setup Guide
  • To setup the log channel(s): /config events

By default it will use the current channel you're using the command in. (If you want the bot to log elsewhere, use the 'channel' option in the command)

  • To toggle on/off features: /config toggles

Some things are turned off by default (example: logging bot actions and message logging)

  • To ignore certain channels/roles/users: /config ignore
  • To view your server's settings: /config view
  • To customize certain features per-event: /config custom_event

The bot requires a few permissions:

  • Manage Server: To fetch the invites for the server (to log the invite used for member joins)
  • Manage Webhooks: To create and use a webhook for the log channel(s)
  • View Audit Logs: To know who did the action (who deleted a role/channel/ban/unban or updated anything, etc)

If you need support use the bot's support server

  • Similar to Logger, very customizable and has pretty much every event covered (setup process is 'easy' it just requires going through everything and see what you want to be logged etc)

  • Pros: Almost all events is covered.
  • Cons: Needs 5k+ members (or partnered/verified server) to get the main bot, or you can selfhost the bot. Complex/annoying setup.

  • Has a decent amount of events covered.
  • Pros: re-uploads deleted files, channels, roles, members, voice events is covered.
  • Cons: No member join invites

  • Has a decent amount of events covered.
  • Pros: re-uploads deleted files, has member join invites
  • Cons: voice, emojis, stickers, invites created/deleted is premium only

  • Has a decent amount of events covered.
  • Cons: voice member disconnected/moved is premium, message attachments/files is ignored.
  • Basic logging (not too much info is given for a lot of the events)

  • Has a small amount of events covered.
  • Basic logging (member, messages, moderation logs)

  • Basic logging
  • Has quite a bit events covered.

  • Dyno has extremely basic logging with barely info on most of them

  • Has delayed logs ('fast logs' requires premium)
  • Basic logging

  • Basic logging (messages, voice (minus server mute/deafen), member roles added/removed)
  • Similar log style to Dyno.
  • Cons: No role (create/update/delete) logs, message bulk delete logs, nickname logs, channel (create/update/delete) logs.

  • Basic-ish logging, has a tiny bit more info than ProBot, CarlBot and Maki
  • Stability is iffy as well

  • Basic message edit/delete logging
  • "server", "voice" logs requires Pro/Premium
  • "user avatar" is currently experimental (not provided in Pro/Premium)

Note: The server needs 15 total members in order for the bot to stay in the server. Otherwise it will automatically leave it.

  • Extremely limited basic logging (message edit/delete)

  • Basic logging
  • Requires Premium (for everything)

@RealmKebab It just logs stuff similar to Logger, it doesn't use Logger's code.
