Infosec Happy Hour Charter

  1. InfoSec Happy Hour shall remain free, with no charge for attending.
  2. InfoSec Happy Hour shall have an occurrence of no less than once every 2 weeks.
  3. No one shall be restricted from attending InfoSec Happy Hour (regardless of race, gender, political views, previous history (unless criminally convicted of an offense we deem to be of a serious nature), etc.) unless they have been officially banned.
  4. An attendee may only be kicked should they: a) Not announce their presence, either via voice or via text, when requested to do so. b) Harass other attendees c) Continue to talk over others, when otherwise warned not to d) Be a dick (this shall including trolling)
  5. An attendee shall only be banned on the third occurrence from being kicked following the criteria set out in point 4.
  6. Events shall remain political and religion free, unless where satire is in play, however see point 4).
  7. What happens in InfoSec Happy Hour, stays in InfoSec Happy Hour.
  8. Any disputes with attendees shall be carried out in private.
  9. Strictly no sponsorships. The only exception being a sponsorship from Marmite (Unilever), for which all proceeds shall go to a charity within the InfoSec community.
  10. InfoSec Happy Hour shall remain strictly not for profit.
  11. No organisation shall retain ownership, InfoSec Happy Hour shall remain the property of the InfoSec community.
  12. No single individual shall hold ownership/control of InfoSec Happy Hour.
  13. The Beer Farmers (Sean Wright, Michael Thompson, and Scott McGready) shall be recognised as the founders of InfoSec Happy Hour.
  14. Sean Wright, Michael Thompson, and Scott McGready collectively reserve the right to re-obtain ownership/control of InfoSec Happy Hour should the above criteria not be met.
