Note: Plex does not officially support extras for TV Shows, which is a shame. Workarounds do exist, but they are not advisable.

How to name audio commentaries and subtitles for commentaries...

As of 2022, Plex does still not support having external subtitle files for commentaries. You know, those extra tracks often featured in BluRays or DVDs. Neither does Plex support having audio commentaries as separate files.

Emby supports having a separate subtitle file for audio commentary tracks using a suffix such as Home Alone.English(Commentary).srt. However Emby does not support having a separate audio file for audio commentaries. You will have to include the audio track within the video file container.

Jellyfin supports having the audio commantary as a separate audio file e.g. Film.English Commentary.en.mp3, but there is no official documentation as for subtitles for commentaries. I assume you can get by using the exact same file name (except for the extension), but I have not tested this.

I suggest using a format that Plex is likely to adopt in the future, like Home Alone.eng.commentary.srt or at least use something that is consistent and can easily be bulk renamed in the future. Whatever you do, stick to the same naming standard.
