Here are few ideas regarding the portfolio website:

  • http://www.letstravelsomewhere.com/ (I like the arrow down button for display of pages idea, it gives a story telling vibe.) Humans understand more in terms of stories. -Yuval Noah Harari

  • https://onomatet.com/ (This is rather simple yet modern looking website with geometrical vibe.) Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.

  • https://www.thegoodkind.co/ (Simple and soothing design for communicating through pictures. Pictures are a great way to engage users)

Some more ideas:

Vision for the portfolio website:

  • Minimalistic approach (less is more)
  • Box and grid design (Systemtic display of imformation)
  • Soothing and earthy colors (Soft color palette)
  • User centric approach (good accessibility and interactivity)

Add ons:

  • Light and dark mode
  • Internationalization
  • Calender for appointment
  • Video background
  • Parallex effect
  • Frosted glass look (glassmorphism)
  • Comfortable colors (works as both light and dark theme)

💡

  • Use emojis instead of texts for contacts, about etc (or swap text with emoji on hover) like Love-death-robot netflix series
  • Use mdx presentation style, four arrow keys (or four directional swipes) for four views: About, Work, Contact, Blog
  • Have a dev-mode, which shows realtime lighthouse stats of the site?
  • Hire someone to create Adobe After Effects emoji animation like Love, Death and Robot and convert them to svg animation using lottie
  • A kyoto-style Japanese theme? with Kimono prints etc.
