Mod 3 Intermission Work Prompts

The top 3-5 industries that I'm going to pursue right now:

  • Game development
  • Web design
  • Robotics

I picked these industries because:

I really enjoy the way that game development uses different fields of work, like art, story, and music, and the actual game design itself is fascinating to me. Web design makes sense because I think that it would be the easiest job to do, and would hopefully enable me to do interesting things with my life. Robotics would probably be my second choice of perfect job, because my brother works with robotic engineering, and I'd love to colab with him, and hopefully work with him in the future.

How does my linkedin reflect my job search?

Right now, I don't have a lot to put on there, but I belive that my bio currently reflects my interests well.

Mod 3 Repeat Reflections

Week 1:

Reflections from last mod (what did I do well? Where can I improve?):

I'm glad I didn't give up and tap out right away, going through the rest of the module I think geared me up for going back through it again. I want to make sure this time around to identify when I'm overwhelmed and struggling and work to counteract that.

Goal(s) for the module:

  • Update Resume
  • Contact people at companies I'd like to work for
  • Participate in game jams if I have time

Habit to put into place this week:

  • Taking very regular poms, and doing daily stand-ups with my project partner

Week 2:

Reflections on week 1 (what went well? What would you like to do better? What do you need help with?): Progress on your goal(s): Progress on your habit(s): New ideas or changes to put into place this week:

Week 3:

Reflections on week 2 (what went well? What would you like to do better? What do you need help with?): Progress on your goal(s): Progress on your habit(s): New ideas or changes to put into place this week:

Week 4:

Reflections on week 3 (what went well? What would you like to do better? What do you need help with?): Progress on your goal(s): Progress on your habit(s): New ideas or changes to put into place this week:

Week 5:

Reflections on week 4 (what went well? What would you like to do better? What do you need help with?): Progress on your goal(s): Progress on your habit(s): New ideas or changes to put into place this week: Reflections on the module as a whole (where have you improved? What do you want to continue doing in Module 4? What do you want to stop doing?):

You answered the prompts for week 2 but I am missing the links to resume and cover letter. It's hard to do work at Turing and start the job search, but if you block out a little bit of time here and there it will become a habit that you are used to. You are getting there!

Hi Ethan, I am not seeing a cover letter. However, great job on your alumni page and resume. I would suggest adding a summary section to your resume. Please add your cover letter and let me know when you do. Thanks!
