Campus outreach is vital for sustainable C4GT contributions to the community program as it enables engagement with students and fosters awareness of DPGs.
- Currently, less participation in the C4GT Community Program across colleges.
- Lack of awareness about the Community program.
- Students do not find value in contributing to DPGs, because of less stars and awareness of scale (except some popular DPGs).
- Create a separate C4GT campus ambassador program among the colleges.
- Create Campus Ambassadors via Google Developer Student Club.
- Create Campus Ambassadors via GitHub Campus Experts
- WHat is the role they play?
- What should be the Curriculum?
- Is there any incenetivization?
- 1st year journey of the campus -
A tentative list of sessions, and workshops should be created to conduct in a span of year. For Example:
- Introduction to Open Source.
- What are DPGs?
- Appreciating Colleges that have made significant contributions.
- Awarding top 25 colleges annually with DPG Nation Builders award during DPG Conclave/ DPG Summit.
- Linking DPG Products to campuses - The campus takes full responsibility for the DPG dev.
- A mentor with the DPG organisation assigned to the college for enabling development.
- Targeting can be segregated into Indian Universities abroad and Foreign Universities
- Branding done on benefits to community and success stories of DPGs
- Geography and College based targeting of posts through Linkedin promoting CCBP
- C4GT Page on Linkedin in European Languages to include more diverse coding population
- Leverage Indian Associations at Foreign Universities to promote C4GT as a DPG builder
