I have been interested in programming for many years now. Working in nonprofits and having my own small business with limited resources, led me many times to search for technical solutions to a variety of issues. Weighing the merit, expense and effect of different systems and solutions was part of my process, and many times I thought to myself, "I wish I could just build something that would do this!" I couldn’t be more excited that I am at a point in my life now where I can take the time to train properly to build it!

To date, I have learned to execute basic websites setup and updates leveraging HTML through Dreamweaver. I learned Dreamweaver at home in my off hours from my work at the University of Washington. One of the biggest resources for communication to our 165+ person division was our website (Twitter was not popular with our faculty or we would have use it then!) I am an experienced program manager/executive support with over 19 years of progressively responsible program management, project management and administrative oversight. My work has demonstrated success in supporting other executive staff in: policy creation, project/budget planning and management, team management and collaboration, organization-wide communications/correspondence, scheduling/travel/move facilitation, office operations management, meeting/conference/retreat planning and facilitation and contact/records archiving and management. I am ready to embark on a new set of skills and a new career path. My work to date has often pushed me to acquire new technological skills and I have enjoyed every opportunity to learn more.
