I've had a lot of fun with this car. It has been my first car and I feel kind of regretful getting rid of it. Sadly, due to expensive insurance for young people in this country, having a car is not worth it for me anymore. The nice thing about this car is that it requires little maintenance. The mechanics are quite simple, you can do some maintenance yourself if you have the will and the tools. The car has mostly been used for highway driving. Some advantages:

  • It has a maintenance free distribution chain
  • It's very economic! 5.4 l / 100 km on the highway
  • It shifts well, and along with the new clutch, the driving experience is great
  • Small sunroof
  • All lamps are functional
  • It's very visible at night due to the color
  • There are few luxury options (that can break)
  • Two keys
  • You can fit a bicycle in there (requires some practise)
  • Lowest tax category
  • Car has never stalled randomly
  • It's quite fast. The 1.3 liter engine gets you up to around 170 km/h on the speedometer (speedo's a bit off though)

I've owned this car for more than a year, and I've driven around 15000 km with it (and wrenched for hours). These are the things I've done to make this car better:

  • APK/inspection until 20-01-2018!
  • NEW CLUTCH PLATE, THROWOUT BEARING AND PRESSURE PLATE. Flywheel resurfaced
  • Air filter replaced
  • Muffler and exhaust suspension replaced
  • Replaced handle on the tailgate
  • Replaced mirrors with adjustable ones
  • Vacuum gauge and voltmeter installed on the dashboard - removable!
  • Two extra speakers on the rear-window shelf installed
  • New JDM gear shift knob (black with red)
  • Throttle body replaced
  • Throttle position sensor replaced
  • Mass air flow sensor replaced
  • Bought a rear-window shelf
  • Re-did wiring for the radio; it now has DIN plugs
  • Installed radio with USB, Bluetooth, SD, AUX and FM
  • Coolant reservoir was replaced
  • New window wipers all around
  • Installed a tachometer by replacing the gauge cluster (the old speedometer was kept)
  • Replaced dash lighting
  • Rear tires are 14000 km old, front right tire is 500 km old, the spare is in good shape

Despite this list of improvements, there are still some small issues with it:

  • There are some small "stars" in the windshield. They have been there since I first bought the car and have not increased in size. They're not really a risk since the car doesn't have air conditioning.
  • A coupling between exhaust pipe and muffler got loose. This was fixed by using a hose clamp, such that the exhaust doesn't leak anymore. Welding would be a better option, but I can't weld.
  • There's a dent on the side, caused by the previous owner
  • The stickers on the side have had their glory days
  • The spring that centers the gear stick got loose. This is no problem, but you can hear the stick tremble a little at times.

Since I've put a lot of time and money in this car, I'm asking for 650 euros. Feel free to make an appointment for a test drive sometime!
