##DTR: Define the Relationship

Guiding Questions to Define The Relationship:

What are each of our learning goals for this project? What drives us in this project? G: To make a portfolio ready app, T: Same, and learning about route

What is your collaboration style? How do you feel about pair programming vs. divide-and-conquer approaches? Both: Prefer to pair and will decide when to divide and conquer

How do you communicate best? How do you appreciate receiving communication from others? Both: Open and frequent communication, happy to hear ideas whenever

How would you describe your work style? Both: Frequent retros reguardless of paired or remote work

What are each of our strengths? How can our strengths complement each other? Both: Communication, we work better in person because of this but can also confidently work remotely

What’s gone well or poorly in your previous projects? The last project we worked on went great because we both respected each others time and opinions throughout the time we worked together

How will we set direction and make decisions as a team? Both: By setting up new issues to tackle in our project board together and then working out how to approach them

How will we overcome obstacles? Both: Taking breaks when necessary and utilizing any of the resources around us when we feel we can't get something figured out ourselves

What do you need (resources, environment, communication) to do your best work? Both: Less distractions and a plan

What scheduling restraints do you have? What are your scheduling preferences? Both: Nothing after 9:00am or after 10:00pm

What is your style for giving feedback? Does anything ever hold you back from giving feedback? Both: Very easy to accept or hear a difference in opinion or idea

What do you identify as being your biggest strength(s) technically, as they relate to this project? Where do you feel you could use improvement in your technical skills, as they relate to this project? How can our team help support you in improving these skills? T: Good at keeping with OOP and SRP, making reusable code. Testing needs work with jest and enzyme. G: Trouble shooting and easily pivoting when necessary. General react workflow needs more experience.

What tools do you want to use to manage the project? Adobe xd, GH Projects

How do you want the group to solve problems when members run into issues with features of the project? Consult the spec and rubric, DTR

How do you know if a project is successful? How can we achieve that as a group? If we are proud of it at the end and are comfortable with the skills we develop during the process

How will we recognize each other's successes and celebrate them? By celebrating small wins

Abilities & Growth Expectations (Technical strengths and areas for desired improvement): T: I want to be comfortably with Jest and Ezyme as well as handling async processes. G: Same

Workload Expectations (What features do we each want to work on?): We can keep in constant communication as well as work in a driver-navigator flow to keep workflow balanced and both of us on the same page

Workflow Expectations (Git workflow/Tools/Code Review/Reviewing Pull Requests/Debugging and Problem-solving Techniques): Using a PR template, asiging issues with github issues
