Dell XPS Audio / Microphone Issue

Coming from this thread, uploading some evidence about the weird behavior happening only after changing in Ubuntu 16 LTS the input and the output.

After switching off/rebooting without changing or touching anything.

The audio is delayed.

When above situation, which becomes the default, happens, this is the list-sinks outcome.

Please note how the alsa_output.pci-0000_00_1b.0.analog-stereo disappeared from the list and alsa_output.platform-broadwell-audio.HiFi__hw_broadwellrt286__sink is now the default.
