Here's the basic explanation on how this scam works:

Basically, you know how you'd be worried if someone accuses you for something you did not ever do? You want to find out what you did, and try and correct it, saying "hey I didn;'t do this or that, this is fake" This scam takes compromised accounts and sends people DMs with this, saying "Hey, I saw you send this girl dick pics! Join this server and check the channel, I'm not unblocking you until you explain to me what happened." >And when you join the server, you're given a fake verification check, which is basically you scanning the QR code with your mobile app,(somehow) looking past the warning saying "HEY, if this isn't your code, please DO NOT ACCEPT IT!" and then giving the scum access to your account.
