This video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3UHUW57bzk has some cool movement things I figured I should practice. So I made an org mode entry for it with todos, so there's a bit more structure to the training.

Movement [0%]

This is mostly centered around Marth/Lucina. Some of these entries are generic, but some others are specific to Marth or Lucina. If you practice this with another character you might wanna find some movement specific combos for it.

Practice fastfalling [0/2]

Make sure you can fast fall very consistently with shorthops.

As a side note, you don’t need to keep the movement stick pressed down to fast fall, as long as you press it once you enter fast fall.

Make sure you can double jump after a fair to make sure your attack is actually buffered.

Do a buffered airdodge, make sure you can throw out something like an Uair/Fair to make sure you are properly buffering the airdodge.

Press neutral air at the top of a short hop, and then fast fall.

Do it in place, get comfortable with it

Do it while jumping from left to right

Move to the edge of the stage, facing the blast zone. Now neutral air at the top of the short hop, and fast fall while moving backwards, until you get to the other side of the stage. During this whole process you should **not** turn around. When you reach the end of the stage you should still be facing the opposite blast zone.

Once you feel comfortable with this try doing it with forward air/up air/down air as well.

While running in one direction, switch directions, instantly jump, and throw out a back air.

Make sure your momentum is almost untouched, you might wanna switch to Cloud/Ike to practice this one, it’s very obvious when you are doing it right with them.

Chill, you have time. Just run, and put your stick on the other direction to skid, don’t do anything else yet.

Just press your dash in a direction, and let go. Before you skid press dash again, and you will dash again staggered.

Practice some follow ups, for example:

nair -> jab -> dancing blade

Do dancing blade as fast as you can, so it shows up as a true combo

Do dancing blade as slowly as you can, so you can still do the next hit

For these items we pick Final Destination, stand in the yellow dot, and make sure we always land on the yellow dot once more.

Use the c-stick to make sure you can control your aerial momentum independently.

With momentum in mid air, press B, and instantly press the movement key on the opposite direction, that will turn you around. Corrin is a cool character to practice this with, they bounce super hard mid air.
