Howdy, | |
I have one issue which is rather strange, and one request which is rather not.
Often, when Growl tells me I have a new message, I'll open Notify and tap the spacebar. The preview window will open up, and it'll be blank, with just "(empty body)" displayed.
Since this has happened a number of times, and I can't reproduce it with any specific condition, but it just *happens*, I thought I'd report it and see what you make of it.
The request is rather simple: Make the window move, or stay put.
This is what happens when I open Notify, and then all messages have been marked as read: http://cld.ly/dd116h
The unread count disappears, and the menubar icon slides over, leaving the window stranded and looking rather foolish.
There are two potential fixes that I can think of:
1. Make the window stick a little better to the menubar icon, so that when it moves, the window moves with it.
2. Move the unread count to the other side of the icon, so that when it disappears, the window doesn't look like it's lost its head.
A third, but unlikeable solution:
3. Move the unread count onto the icon itself. I'm envisioning the rectangle without the "envelope" fill, with a blue fill and the unread count in the center.
Now that I think about it, I rather like that third one.
Anywho, I apologize for rambling, but the alternative was for me to get all blustery and annoying, and who likes that?
Have a nice evening, or whatever time of day you read this in.
Sincerely, | |
Abraham Vegh |
