Working Goals:

It is always my goal to advance my knowledge and keep up with the fast changing technologies as all web developers must do. I am looking to work for a company that is agile and fast paced working with the latest and greatest technologies. I am opinionated when it comes to UX/UI design and what technologies should be used in front end development. I hope to continue to work with companies who respect those opinions and help me help the company grow.

Work History:

Dialexa

Front-End Application Developer 02-20015 - Present

I decided to leave DT and move to Dialexa to get more experince with application development and JavaScript in general. Our main "go-to" stack is Node and Ember for building web apps although we also build apps with just about every technology.

Skills = HTML, Sass, jQuery, JavaScript, RequireJS, and EmberJS with ember-CLI

Senior Front-End Developer/Front-End Engineer
09-2011 - 02-2015

I have worked my way around from doing simple HTML and CSS bug fixes to slicing and coding out full sites. As I left I was the lead front-end dev for our first Mobile First initiative. It's a small team that worked very well together and was able to hit very tight deadlines. DT is a great company with a nice agile working environment.

Skills = HTML, CSS, jQuery, RequireJS, UX/UI, interfacing with backend technologies and template systems including C# and Razor Templates, and Pearl and Pearl's Template Toolkit.

TxGarage - part-time freelance

Writer / Multimedia Director
08-2008 to Present

I am a member of the Texas Auto Writers Association and write news articles and reviews. I also set up and manage all social media for txGarage. I built and designed the site, based on Wordpress with a custom theme that better fit the needs of the company.

Ampnet Media - freelance web

Full stack web developer UX/UI design

I have done a ton of work from as early as 2003 to as recent as 2015. I have used a lot of WordPress, plenty of static site generators, and some simple backend PHP development and basic front-end stuff.

The biggest thing I learned at the Art Institute was working in a fast passed environment and meeting strict deadlines.

I have continued to grow and expand my knowledge within the web world. I am currently proficient in:
HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, RWD, UI/UX, PHP, Grunt, Photoshop, Illustrator, and many others.

I am currently learning more about many technologies including React, Node, and Ember.
