Lightning Talk Notes for Thurs. 9/17/15

How to Lern Good.

Here's a tool that can help you learn. It's called Pivotal Tracker.

  • It's a convenient place to hold all your notes.
  • It's (more importantly) easy to find old notes (easier than a notebook
  • It's free.

How's it work?

Step 1. Plan our day.

  • Go to turing.io and create a new story for each class, including lesson plan, repo instructions etc.

Step 2. Take notes.

  • save repo links, articcle links
  • save code snippetes
  • save to-do items
  • add comments and upload/attach files

Step 3. Reference those notes later.

  • Refer back to those notes via search field

The goal of this talk:

  • That you're aware this tool exists
  • That you see how I use it to
  • Encourage you to find something that works for you (helps you learn, and recal what you learned)
