You will be working in a team of talented Flutter, JavaScript, and Rails developers of all levels. You will contribute to a mobile app for delivery drivers. You will also get the chance to work on our React apps.
The team is currently putting the finishing touches on our first Flutter app and will soon modernize the UI of a very large Rails application. We provide plenty of challenges and growth opportunities like the ability to contribute significantly to the creation of new applications.
You will act as a mentor and lead developer for other less experienced frontend developers. We have the space on the team for you to take on people management responsibilities and become a team lead in the future, but we also have a Maker Track for the people who prefer to stay individual contributors (our career ladder).

- You have either deep knowledge of how to build mobile apps or deep knowledge of how to build modern frontend apps
- You are willing to mentor more junior colleagues. Helping others succeed will be a major part of your workday
- You can take a large project, break it down into manageable smaller parts, and coordinate work with other team members
- You understand that communication is one of the most important skills for a developer
- You are fluent in English
- You are located in Berlin (we can't currently offer relocation because of the pandemic)
Flutter experience is not necessary, because we trust our senior developers to pick up new technologies on their own.
You will be part of a friendly, diverse, and international team. We work in small groups each with a high degree of self-organization. We constantly evolve and redefine our development process based on our own ideas (see our blog post about it). Teaching and learning from each other is a very important part of our work. You will report to a team lead and have frequent 1-on-1 meetings with them (every week or every second week). Your team lead will be responsible for giving you feedback and helping you grow.
We work flexible hours and we allow working remotely part of the time. Currently the whole team is working remotely due to Corona. The switch was easy for us, because of our remote-first approach.
Some of the team members work four days per week and this is also an option that we can offer for you.
