Feb 26 22:04:42 <Downtime>→ I'd have to get back to you, since it's for a game, I'm not entirely sure if we want that here — we may very well, though, so give me a day or so and I shall get back to you :)
Feb 26 22:06:28 <adrian_broher>→Well, okay. I don't see why open source software that happens to be a game should be threaded differently, but take your time. I'm usually stay online via bouncer.
Feb 26 22:10:50 <Downtime>→ It's just generally games bring in a crowd we don't really want — so it's very much a project-by-project basis, and I, er, rather like 4X games, so you may very well have struck luck coming to me :)

Subject: Claiming ownership of #freeorion channel
Date: Wed, 2 Mar 2016 20:12:40 +0100
Hello freenode staff,
I am one of the developers of the FreeOrion project and I would like,
as the subject already says, to claim ownership of the active and
registered but unmoderated #freeorion channel. Currently I am the only
active IRC user from the staff and being a regular makes it impossible
for me to do the usual moderation tasks like updating the topic and so
on. After having some conversation with the staff member uptime he
suggested that I should contact you via email.
My account name is `adrian_broher`.
The FreeOrion project is a free, open source turn-based empire and
galactic conquest (4X) computer game licensed under the terms of
GNU GPL 2.0 for source code and CC-SA 3.0 Unported for game assets.
You can find more details on the project on our Homepage
http://www.freeorion.org/ . The repositories are accessible via
the https://github.com/freeorion organization.
If you need further informations feel free to contact me via the From
email address.
Regards
Marcel Metz
