Use a fixed width font in your text editor of choice to line the number lines up with the rows of ones.
The center most one on the top row (with the 5 above it, as seen in your text editor of choice) is the center of the page. Each other 1 on that line marks ten units the size of the "1" digit.
The width of 2 spaces is equivalent to the width of three "1" digits.
Other characters are going to differ in width making it difficult to align items vertically.
