Would snippets be maintained somehow? A builtin test with CI?
16:10:26 From Angus Hollands (he/him) To Everyone:
^ I think that should/could extend to all columns
16:11:25 From Wouter Deconinck (he/him) To Everyone:
True, but snippets sound more ephemeral...
16:11:30 From Jim Pivarski To Everyone:
Let's discuss this verbally.
16:33:06 From Clemens Lange To Everyone:
Really sorry, but need to leave already. I'll have a look at the notes tomorrow.

Thanks for joining Celemens!
16:37:09 From Wouter Deconinck (he/him) To Everyone:
I don't see gists under my organizations, just organization-wide discussions
16:39:15 From Angus Hollands (he/him) To Everyone:
I see it's possible to author them for an org I think

16:40:39 From Kilian Lieret To Everyone:
But can you actually create one there?
16:42:16 From Angus Hollands (he/him) To Everyone:
I suspect I don't have the permis
16:52:37 From Wouter Deconinck (he/him) To Everyone:
How is a repository with markdown and attached files different from https://github.com/orgs/scikit-hep/discussions/new?category=show-and-tell ?
16:53:04 From Angus Hollands (he/him) To Everyone:
Moderation, I think - I don't believe you can do so for discussions
16:55:09 From Jim Pivarski To Everyone:
Centralized Discussions could be a good way to do it. They're markdown-only, not .py or .ipynb...
16:56:14 From Wouter Deconinck (he/him) To Everyone:
Drawbacks I could find:
- moderation is public until removed by organization moderator
- no way to pull into an external database without web scraping
16:56:44 From Angus Hollands (he/him) To Everyone:
^ Agreed, #2 is problematic
16:57:13 From Jim Pivarski To Everyone:
That's true: you can't make a database of Discussions.
16:57:37 From Jim Pivarski To Everyone:
(Unless maybe with GitHub API?)
16:58:42 From Angus Hollands (he/him) To Everyone:
Hard to use CI to validate contributions e.g. to ensure valid metadata?
